I would like to welcome you to our ZXZ Alumni Association!

If this is the first time that you have heard of the association, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of what this organization is all about. My name is Joe Busa and I am the ZXZ Alumni Chairman. I pledged in Spring ‘74 and graduated from Oswego in 1977.

Around 1987, there was a reunion party for our fraternity and other Oswego Alumni. After having such a great time catching up with best friends and collecting numerous addresses, I realized that our fraternity had quite a large alumni group. Although this group was quite large, there was no central form of communication or source to get information on the whereabouts of brothers except for the fraternity itself. There had always been a problem of keeping track of alumni brothers and keeping the alumni up to date on events, but this became especially difficult as the growth in ZXZ alumni occurred. You would get the occasional letter asking for money of course, but nothing catered to alumni needs. Well, I decided to do something about that and the result is our ZXZ Alumni Association, Inc.
Yes, we now have a formal incorporated organization for the brothers of ZXZ who are not enrolled as college students at Oswego as the fraternity’s by-laws require.

I have been doing this now for quite some time and have a database of over 650 brothers. I have good addresses for approximately 300 brothers and maintain this database constantly. Our organization has an officer which is the Alumni Chairman. There are two other officers of the corporation. Please see the links below for more info. I usually send a letter annually, keeping you abreast of upcoming events, the current status of the fraternity and any news that brothers would like other brothers to know like - children, marriages, new addresses, etc. If you wish your address to remain confidential, I will strictly abide by your wishes. I will not sell this database to anyone. I work closely with the Oswego Alumni office and do normally share information with them, but if you wish to maintain confidentiality, just tell me. We do have a membership fee which is $25 annually. I keep an accounting of our income and expenses and report this to you on a regular basis.

The Alumni Association has really made a difference to our fraternity and to Zeta Alumni. Generous donations have been made to our organization by many brothers and they have been put to good use on reunion costs, mailing costs and helping out the current brothers with Rush costs. Many alumni have donated their skills and expertise too. Our strength is in our diversity. Brothers have helped out on business, legal and accounting matters.

We have had a number major reunions. We had a big party back in 1994 for our 25th Anniversary. It was the biggest gathering of an Alumni group for the entire college for that reunion year. We had the Summer Reunion of 97 which was a great time. It included a Remembrance Ceremony for brothers that have passed away. In the summer of 1999 we had a huge reunion for our 30th Anniversary. In 2004 we held our 35th Anniversary Party! 40th Reunion in 2009! and the 45th in 2014!! We hold regional get-togethers also in New York City and Albany. We are planning for our 50th Reunion in 2019.
